This role focuses on assisting childcare staff, supporting play and daily routines, and building essential childcare and communication skills through practical experience.

Qualifications

• This is a developmental opportunity; no previous childcare experience is necessary.
• Accredited training and support will be provided to support career development.
• Good spoken and written English required.
• Willingness to undertake training and upskill in childcare.

Responsibilities

• Assist childcare staff in providing a safe, caring and welcoming environment for children.
• Support age-appropriate play and educational activities.
• Assist with indoor and outdoor activities under supervision.
• Support children during meal and snack times.
• Assist with daily routines of the childcare setting.
• Help prepare and tidy activity areas and equipment.
• Support positive interactions with children.
• Work as part of a team and follow guidance from childcare staff.
• Develop childcare, communication and organisational skills through practical experience and training.
