Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

  • Assisting in the day-to-day running of the childcare facility providing a stimulating and varied programme of play under the direction and support of the room leader.
  • Liaise with other team members daily
  • Communicate effectively daily in relation to children's own needs and daily requirements
  • To work as part of a team, showing cooperation and flexibility
  • Take time to get to know the routine of the room
  • Ensure the safety of the children in the service at all times
  • Garda Vetting required.
  • Follow the policies and procedures and the Health and Safety statement of the service
  • Be confidential with regard to the privacy of family and company information
  • To assist with the care, maintenance and security of all equipment and toys within the service
