Job summary

Medforce, partnering with a Children’s Network Disability Team in Meath, is seeking a Behaviour Therapist to support children and young people through functional assessments and multi-element behaviour support plans. The role aims to promote Positive Behaviour Support across the organisation by quality checking Personal Plans.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Behavioural Therapy with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience with diverse clinical presentations.
• Experience working with young people with diverse needs.
• Strong teamwork and collaborative abilities.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own work.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide goal focused therapeutic support to children and young people in collaboration with their families.
• Maintain appropriate therapy records of all therapeutic activity.
• Understand and follow all child protection safeguarding procedures.
• Liaise and consult with other professionals working across the service as appropriate.
• Operate within all policies, procedures, and guidelines of the service.
• Participate in team meetings and attend other meetings as deemed necessary.
• Work on specific tasks required relating to service development and expansion of service.
