Job summary

Traveller Counselling Service CLG is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership and ensure high-quality counselling, mental health and related services for the Traveller community.

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will guide the senior management team, strengthen governance, secure funding, and build partnerships with statutory bodies and funders while promoting cultural safety and community participation.

Job description

The Chief Executive Officer is the most senior executive within Traveller Counselling Service CLG, reporting to the Board of Directors and holding overall responsibility for the leadership, strategic direction and performance of the organisation.

The CEO will lead a senior management team and work in close partnership with the Board to ensure that TCS continues to provide high-quality, culturally safe and financially sustainable counselling, mental health, community development, advocacy, anti-racism and human rights services to the Traveller community.

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, strengthen organisational governance and sustainability, develop relationships with statutory and philanthropic funders, support the continued development of TCS's services and ensure that Traveller self-determination, cultural safety and community participation remain central to the organisation's work.

The CEO will also represent TCS nationally with statutory bodies, funders, community organisations, sectoral partners and relevant national committees and initiatives.
