Job summary

Mater Private Cork is seeking a Chief II Cardiac Physiologist to lead and develop the Cardiac Physiologist team within the Heart and Vascular department. The role focuses on delivering excellent patient care, service development, and working with hospital management to drive improvements.

The successful candidate will have advanced clinical measurement qualifications (BSc hons in Clinical Measurement), extensive post-qualification experience, leadership and budgeting skills, and proven ability

Qualifications

• BSc (Honours) in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology.
• BSc Honours in Clinical Measurement from TU Dublin.
• Equivalent scientific qualification (Level 8) as confirmed by IICMS.
• (a) MPPM from DIT.
• Equivalent qualification per IICMS awarded before 2005.
• Minimum of 5 years full-time post-qualification experience.
• Demonstrable leadership, managerial and administrative ability.
• Experience with rostering, recruitment and training of junior staff is required.
• Experience in stock management and ordering is required.
• Experience in budget management and business planning required.

Chief II Cardiac Physiologist

Full Time Position

We are currently recruiting for a Chief II Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Mater Private Cork to manage and support the team of Cardiac Physiologists and drive continued process improvement and efficiencies in the Heart and Vascular department.

The successful candidate will be familiar with the techniques and range of equipment used in current medical practice for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients referred to the Heart and Vascular services. Working with the multi-disciplinary team the Chief II Cardiac Physiologist will play a pivotal role in the development of this service in conjunction with Hospital management.

The primary role of the Chief II Cardiac Physiologist is to provide leadership in the development and delivery of services and structures in the Department focusing on excellent patient care.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess the BSc (Honours) in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology
• Possess the BSc Honours) in Clinical Measurement for Technology University Dublin (TU Dublin)
• Possess an equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8) as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS)
• (a) Possess the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology
• (b) An equivalent scientific qualification as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS) awarded in or before 2005
• Have a minimum of 5 years full-time relevant post qualification experience
• Demonstrable clinical, leadership, managerial and administrative knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of duties.
• Experience with department rostering, recruitment and training of junior staff is required.
• Experience in stock management and ordering is required.
• Experience in budget management and business planning required.
