Job Description

We currently have opportunities for Analysts to join our Raw Materials Chemistry team in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.

The purpose of this role is to carry out scientific test procedures on customers’ samples and produce accurate results within an acceptable timeframe, following company procedures.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine and non-routine analysis as requested by the laboratory.
  2. Review data and ensure accuracy.
  3. Prepare and approve test results when competent.
  4. Understand customer requirements and strive to meet them, ensuring reports are delivered timely.
  5. Handle customer queries and communicate significant results.
  6. Stay updated with technological or methodological revisions and adjust work accordingly.
  7. Train junior staff in analytical techniques as needed.
  8. Revise SOPs as required by the laboratory.
  9. Participate in weekend rota and overtime schedules as needed.
  10. Update relevant documentation upon request.
  11. Provide cover for team members as necessary.
  12. Meet customer requirements and be flexible to work in various areas of the business.
  13. Identify opportunities for quality and service improvements and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • BSc in Science, preferably Chemistry.
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a GMP environment, preferably in a QC role.
  • Experience with raw material testing including FT-IR, KF, HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, etc.
  • Experience with Waters and Empower III is an advantage.
