The Court Yard Hotel is part of the Moriarty Group, an Irish owned company involved in retail grocery and hotel industries. The group operates three SuperValu stores (Balbriggan, Skerries, Palmerstown) and two 4* hotels (the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare and the Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin). The company currently employs 550 staff.

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and knowledgeable Chefs to join our kitchen team. If you have the relevant qualifications and would like to develop your career within a busy hotel with a passion for food, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
  • Food preparation and organisation.
  • Preparing food for breakfast, carvery, bar, restaurant, and functions.
  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Ordering and stock management, including stocktakes.
  • HACCP compliance.
  • Staff training and development.
  • Menu development.
Requirements
  • 2/3 years of prior experience in a hotel or busy food business is essential.
  • HACCP trained.
  • Experience with the financial aspects of kitchen management is desirable but not essential.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to train and develop junior team members.
  • Ability to multi-task and help out in all areas of the kitchen.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and strong people management skills.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Available for early starts and late finishes.
