Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Chef Production Manager for our client – a renowned and growing artisan food company that produces handmade meals, desserts, and fine food products for a network of retail outlets and events. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and passionate chef to join a talented kitchen team producing high-quality, small-batch food with care and consistency.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of fresh, handmade meals, baked goods, and desserts to a high standard
  • Follow established recipes and production plans to ensure consistency and quality across all products
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and Production Manager to meet daily and weekly production targets
  • Ensure excellent food safety and hygiene practices in line with HACCP and company policies
  • Assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal product ranges
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
  • Manage stock rotation and support with ingredient prep, portioning, and labelling
  • Adapt to changing production needs, including preparation for large orders and event catering

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a professional kitchen or food production environment
  • A genuine passion for cooking and fresh, artisan food
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation and consistency
  • Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Flexible and proactive approach, with a strong work ethic
  • Culinary qualification is an advantage but not essential
