Job summary

Ballyboden, Dublin 16 – Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager to lead kitchen operations, plan menus, and oversee a small team in a busy, client-focused environment.

You will deliver nutritious meals, manage stock and staffing across a 7-day operation, and ensure HACCP and safety standards are upheld. This full-time role offers development opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

• Experience as a Chef Manager or senior chef.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Experience with staff scheduling and rota planning.
• Good understanding of health & safety and HACCP.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver approximately 25 main meals daily, along with breakfast and supper.
• Plan balanced and varied menus; manage stock control and ordering.
• Lead and manage a small team; ensure health & safety compliance and HACCP.
• Prepare and manage staff rotas; ensure 7-day operation coverage.
• Provide light administrative support and payroll cover during holidays.

This role calls for a chef who can blend maintaining excellent standards, while working efficiently in a fast-paced, trend-setting, client-focused environment.

What you'll do:

• Food Preparation & Service

  • Prepare and deliver approximately 25 main meals daily, along with supper and Breakfast
  • Ensure meals are nutritious, well-presented, and suitable for residents
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and consistency

• Menu Planning & Ordering

  • Plan balanced and varied menus
  • Manage stock control and place orders
  • Minimise waste and ensure cost-effective use of ingredients

• Team Management & Compliance

  • Lead and manage a small team on a daily basis
  • Ensure all staff comply with health & safety and food safety regulations
  • Monitor HACCP procedures, cleaning schedules, and safe systems of work
  • Address any issues or non-compliance appropriately

• Scheduling & Organisation

  • Prepare and manage staff rotas
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels across a 7-day operation
  • Manage holidays and arrange cover when required

• Administration (Light Duties)

  • Support basic administrative tasks
  • Provide occasional cover for payroll or admin during holidays

What you’ll bring:
