Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for two Chef de Parties to join the experienced Kitchen Team at the 4* Killarney Plaza Hotel. Our Hotel is located in the heart of Killarney Town Centre and is part of the O'Donoghue Ring Collection.

O'Donoghue Ring Collection is home to Hotels, Apartments, Spa, Restaurants & Bars centrally located in the vibrant town centre of Killarney and Castleisland, Co. Kerry. We are a collection of experiences and are looking for someone to aid in creating these magical experiences for our customers.

The Hotel food outlets include the Tan Yard for a Fine Dining experience and Cafe du Parc where you can have a Boozy brunch or a healthy Breakfast. The Hotel also has five function rooms which cater for wedding afters and social occasions.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Responsible for Mise en Place and Service in the various food outlets,
  • Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes
  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
  • Assisting with the implementation and compliance of health and safety
  • Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
  • Assist in the training of Commis Chefs
  • Monitoring portion and waste control

Skills required:

  • Experience at a chef de partie level in a 4 star establishment or similar standard is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Candidates must have a legal right to work in Ireland
