Job summary

A community development organization in Munster is seeking a CE Cleaner/Caretaker to maintain play areas and facilities. No prior experience is needed, as accredited training will be provided. Responsibilities

• Maintain pathways, play areas, and roads.
• Weed and cut grass areas.
• Collection of refuse and recycling.
• Wash and clean play areas.
• General caretaking, maintenance and cleaning duties.
• Empty and reload the dishwasher.
• Hoover and mop all floors.
• Wash outside windows weekly.
• Perform general DIY jobs.
• Lock up the premises at the end of each evening.
• Lock up at the end of each evening ensuring all windows and doors are locked and secure
• General DIY jobs in all centres
• Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethos of service at all times.

Job description

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Job Description

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

• Maintain pathways, play areas and roads and ensure they are swept regularly
• Weed and cut grass areas
• Collection of refuse and recycling throughout the entire buildings
• Wash and clean play areas including workbenches, slide and sandpit areas
• General caretaking, maintenance and cleaning duties both internally and externally
• Empty and reload dishwasher throughout the day and put items away once dry
• Hoovering and moping of all floors throughout Togher Family Centre and Grove Cottage
• Washing of outside windows weekly
• Floors to be mopped daily
• Operate the necessary equipment in line with Health & Safety legislation ensuring all work is carried out correctly and safely
• Lock up at the end of each evening ensuring all windows and doors are locked and secure
• General DIY jobs in all centres
• Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time

Validated references and completed Garda vetting, and international police clearance where necessary, are required prior to starting in any CE position.
