Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clear sink and work surfaces
• Wash and dry floor every day before children arrive
• Check toilet area – wash and sweep, check hand towels
• Ensure cleaning is done through policy and procedures standards
• Help to prepare activities as requested by room supervisor
• Put toys back in shed; sweep, tidy sand pit, wash outdoor toys and tidy garden
• Get involved in daily activities
• Work with team on areas that need cleaning
• Supervision will be from the manager of the service
• Thoroughly clean one area of the playroom once a week
• Wash windows and deep clean all equipment when required
• Maintain confidentiality
• Help to maintain health and safety standards
• Other duties as required by the manager

Qualifications

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Validated references and completed Garda Vetting, and international police clearance, where necessary, are required before starting.
