Job summary

OhioHealth is hiring a part-time, day shift procedural radiologic technologist at Dublin Methodist Hospital in the Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology. The hours for this position are two 10-hour shifts/week with a required on-call rotation.

This position requires ARRT registry and Ohio Radiologic License. The Radiologic Technologist will assist the Interventional Cardiologist and Interventional Radiologist in diagnostic and interventional procedures, with duties including scrubbing, monitoring,

Qualifications

• ARRT registry and Ohio Radiologic License required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• State of Ohio licensure in Radiologic Technology required.
• On-call availability required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, monitor, and circulate as an assistant to Interventional Cardiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Support Interventional Radiologist for vascular procedures using fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound.
• Maintain knowledge of X-ray equipment, hemodynamic monitoring, coronary and peripheral anatomy, and sterile technique.

Job Description Summary:

$12,500 SIGN-ON BONUS

OhioHealth is hiring a part-time, day shift procedural radiologic technologist at Dublin Methodist Hospital in the Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology. The hours for this position are two 10-hour shifts/week with a required on-call rotation. This position requires ARRT registry and Ohio Radiologic License.
The Cath Lab/IR Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Cardiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, coronary and peripheral anatomy, and sterile technique.
For Vascular IR procedures, the Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Radiologist for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the various imaging equipment in use including fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound.

Responsibilities And Duties:

• 85% Radiologic technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventionalist in specific area as described above in summary for each area.
• 10% Greets patients upon arrival to department. Checks chart for required data (i.e., informed consent). Reports absences or abnormalities to RN/physician. Explains procedures, gives instructions, and answers patients' questions. Participates in room turnover and transporting of patients.
• (5%) Assists Radiation Safety officer in QA of labs and radiation protective apparel on regular basis. Performs tasks using radiation safety principles; checks lead aprons for tears; reports findings and removes inadequate gear from service; maintains accurate records or work with Radiology department to maintain records.
