Job summary

MADURA'S RESTAURANT & CAFE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Catering Manager in Singapore to lead and expand the catering business for weddings, corporate functions, and private events. The role requires hands-on management of enquiries, menu recommendations, quotations and event execution.

The ideal candidate will have strong sales skills, robust knowledge of Indian cuisine, and the ability to coordinate kitchen production, logistics and staff to deliver exceptional catering experiences.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of catering, restaurant operations, event management or F&B sales experience.
• Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, especially South and North Indian catering menus.
• Experience handling weddings, corporate catering, buffets and large events preferred.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, customer engagement and order conversion skills.
• Strong English communication; Tamil skills advantageous for Tamil-speaking customers.

Responsibilities

• Catering Sales & Business Development: promote weddings, corporate functions, parties and other events.
• Identify leads, convert enquiries to confirmed catering orders and negotiate terms.
• Engage customers, assess requirements and propose menus and packages.
• Prepare quotations, follow up and secure orders; build client relationships.
• End-to-end Catering Operations & Event Management: manage from order to post‑event.
• Plan menus, quantities, logistics, equipment and manpower; oversee buffet setup and service.
• Coordinate with kitchen; supervise staff and ensure smooth event execution.
• Customer Service & Relationship Management: maintain communication and handle feedback.
• Cost Control & Administration: monitor costs, invoices, and supplier coordination.
