Job summary

CareChoice Swords is hiring a Catering Assistant to support daily dining services in our home in Swords, County Dublin. You will serve meals and beverages, help with food presentation, and maintain hygienic dining areas in line with HACCP policies.

Responsibilities

• Duties include any duties associated with serving meals, cleaning up after meals and maintaining the dining environment at the standard required by CareChoice Parnell.
• Ensure that food is presented in an appealing way.
• Assist in the serving of meals and drinks ensuring that the correct meals are served to residents with special dietary needs.
• Use all equipment as trained observing all safe practices, so that accidents are avoided
• Maintain the food serving area and dining room in a clean, safe and hygienic condition
• Ensure that all bins are emptied and all waste is discarded in the appropriate bin. (Food, Recycling, General Waste)
• Record keeping - ensure that necessary checks are made and recorded in accordance with our Food Hygiene Policy
• Ensure food hygiene and HACCP standards are adhered to at all times.
• Help to maintain a safe environment for staff, residents and visitors
