Job summary

BaxterStorey IRL in Shannon free zone, Co. Clare, invites applications for a Catering Assistant (KP). This is a specified purpose contract offering 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a competitive rate of €14.65 per hour.

The role focuses on delivering genuine hospitality and efficient service. You will serve food and beverages, support colleagues to ensure smooth operations, maintain cleanliness and safety standards, and participate in training and development to grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Passion for food and customer service.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team.
• Able to adapt to challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Previous experience in food service is a plus.
• Some knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Willing to cover extra hours including holidays and sickness.
• Must be available from early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Service – serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Customer Service – provide excellent service by being attentive to customers’ needs at every point on their journey.
• Teamwork – collaborate with all other staff to ensure the smooth flow of operations and support and contribute to creating an inclusive and safe working environment.
• Adherence to Regulations – comply with health and safety regulations, as well as any specific food service or catering guidelines established on location.
• Cleanliness – maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas.

Job Description

Qualifications

• Have a contagiouspassion for food and/or customer service

• Previous experience in a similar role, especially in the food service industry, is often a plus
• Some knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
