Job summary

Brown Thomas Arnotts in Ireland seeks an experienced Category Marketing Manager to lead marketing and commercial strategy across beauty and living categories, with cross-functional collaboration with Buying, Operations and Digital.

The role requires strategic thinking, creativity and commercial acumen to drive campaigns, manage budgets, and build relationships with brand partners and agencies, delivering ROI and engaging customers.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing or category management role within retail, beauty, or luxury sectors
  • Proven track record of delivering successful integrated marketing campaigns
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, optimising ROI and revenue growth
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills with internal and external partners
  • Highly creative and strategic with a deep understanding of market trends

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and delivery of marketing and communication campaigns across key categories.
  • Own the master trade marketing calendar to deliver relevant and inspiring customer experiences.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders — including Buying, Operations, Multichannel, and Finance — to deliver category objectives.
  • Manage and brief internal creative, digital, and media teams to deliver best-in-class content and campaigns.
  • Oversee relationships with brand partners, media, and creative agencies, ensuring strong collaboration and commercial alignment.
  • Manage and track the category marketing budget, ensuring all activity delivers strong ROI and aligns with business goals.
  • Lead the execution of key events, launches, and activations across all touchpoints including store, digital, and PR.
  • Use CRM data and insights to shape targeted communications and improve customer engagement.
  • Analyse performance metrics and customer data to evaluate the success of campaigns and inform future planning.
  • Benchmark competitor activity and global best practice to continually innovate and elevate the customer experience.
  • Driving retail media strategy and liaising with brand partners to commercialise key marketing sites across the business, delivering revenue growth and enhanced brand visibility.
  • Managing relationships with luxury and premium brands to execute high-impact retail media opportunities across digital, in-store, and CRM channels.
  • Commercially focused marketer with sales experience, collaborating with brands and internal stakeholders to maximise campaign performance and retail media opportunities

KNOW THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Category Marketing Manager to join the Brown Thomas Arnotts Marketing team. This is a key management role responsible for developing and executing the marketing and commercial strategy across several key business categories.


The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and commercial acumen. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Buying, Operations, and Digital teams to deliver impactful campaigns that engage customers and drive brand performance, while managing key external relationships with partners, agencies, and suppliers. This role will primarily lead our beauty and living categories whilst supporting other key categories when required.


Key Responsibilities
