Purpose:

The Therapist at YWCA Women's Resource Center provides trauma-focused therapy and case management services for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence, ensuring high-quality service and compliance with YWCA standards. This role supports and advances the mission, goals, and objectives of YWCA Metro St. Louis.

Salary Range:

$50,000 - $52,000

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement group therapy programs and educational workshops for sexual assault and domestic violence clients.
  • Assess clients' needs and develop individualized case plans.
  • Build and maintain supportive, therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Provide case management services for group and individual clients.
  • Conduct phone follow-ups and case management within 10 days of intake, offering support, advocacy, and resources.
  • Support therapy clients on the waitlist with case management and resources.
  • Collaborate with community partners to maximize resource utilization and avoid duplication.
  • Train healthcare, social service professionals, and police on sexual assault issues and response strategies.
  • Complete monthly statistical reports to meet grant and funding requirements.
  • Attend agency and community meetings as needed.
Formal Education/Experience:
  • Master's degree required; LMSW preferred.
  • Experience in social services or mental health required.
Knowledge of:
  • Violence against women, sexual assault, domestic violence, and trauma recovery issues.
  • Effective trauma recovery therapies.
  • Working with clients with multiple diagnoses and classifications.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Maintain confidentiality and stay calm in crises.
  • Critical thinking and quick decision-making skills.
  • Initiative and teamwork capabilities.
  • Case management proficiency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
