Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our team in AbbeyFeale Limerick. You will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, reliable, and proactive care for clients and colleagues.

The role involves light maintenance, basic First Aid, and assisting with HVAC-related training, with flexibility for evenings and weekends during school terms. We value responsibility, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a caretaker, handy person, facilities assistant or fire warden (desirable but not essential)
• Practical DIY or maintenance skills
• Ability to work independently and respond calmly in emergencies
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during school term time

Responsibilities

What you'll do:

• Providing care and support to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being, and assisting with daily activities.

Provide basic First Aid assistance in the event of an emergency

Support the safe operation of the building, including training in HVAC systems

Carry out light maintenance and DIY tasks as required

Ensure the premises remain secure, safe and well maintained

Report any incidents, hazards or maintenance issues promptly

What you'll bring:
