Job summary

L'Arche Kilkenny is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support adults with intellectual disabilities in a warm home environment. You will follow care plans, provide personal care, assist with meals, and promote independence and dignity for Core Members.

You will work closely with the House Leader and team, participate in meetings and training, and help embed HIQA standards while fostering inclusion and community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Support Core Members in daily living activities (personal care, meals, household tasks).
• Follow care plans and Person-Centred Plans (PCPs) in line with HIQA standards.
• Promote independence and dignity for Core Members.
• Collaborate with House/Team Leader and wider team.
• Assist in social, recreational, and community activities.
