We are now hiring for care assistants to join our New Directions Day Supports with a Monday to Friday work pattern.

In these rewarding roles, you'll be supporting individuals in our local New Directions hubs to live full and active lives within their communities. Person specification

  • A FETAC/QQI Level 5 Major Award in Social Care/ Healthcare or relevant qualification- all 8 modules completed.
  • Motivated, compassionate, and energetic team players.
  • A strong commitment to empowering individuals through a person-centred approach.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to work as part of a dynamic and supportive team.
  • Knowledge of the New Directions framework.
  • Experience supporting people with Autism
  • One year experience working in the area of Intellectual Dissability is desirible
  • A full driving licence is a distinct advantage
  • Openness to providing supports across a variety of activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including good listening skills.

Cheeverstown is a voluntary organisation, regulated by the Health Information & Quality Authority (HIQA).

We provide a wide range of person centred services including residential, respite and day services to almost 400 children and adults with an intellectual disability in the south Dublin area.

Please note: All job offers are subject to two successful references, ongoing Garda Vetting and a satisfactory pre-employment medical.

Salary will be paid as per the HSE consolidated pay scales of Care assistant (ID).
