Job summary

OhioHealth is hiring a full-time, day shift radiologic technologist for the Dublin Methodist Hospital Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology. Typical hours are 7:00a-5:30p, four 10-hour shifts per week, with a $25,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants and eligible former employees.

The role requires ARRT registry and Ohio Radiologic Licensure; new graduates will be considered. The technologist will assist the Interventional Cardiologist with scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating, and must know

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, ARRT certification(s) required or eligible.
• ARRT registry and Ohio radiologic licensure required.
• LIC - State of Ohio license required to practice radiologic technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist Interventional Cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional procedures (scrubbing, monitoring, circulating).
• Greet patients, verify data, explain procedures and assist with room turnover and transport.
• Support Radiation Safety officer with QA, monitor and replace protective gear as needed.

Job Description Summary

$25,000 SIGN-ON BONUS

External applicants may be eligible for a $25,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year work commitment. Previously employed applicants who have been gone from the organization more than 90 days may also be eligible.

OhioHealth is hiring a full-time, day shift procedural radiologic technologist at Dublin Methodist Hospital in Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology. The hours for this position are 7:00a-5:30p (four 10-hour shifts/week). This position requires ARRT registry and Ohio Radiologic License. New grad Radiology Technologists will be considered.

The Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Cardiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, coronary and peripheral anatomy, and sterile technique.

Responsibilities And Duties

• 85% Radiologic technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventionalist in specific area as described above in summary for each area.
• 10% Greets patients upon arrival to department. Checks chart for required data (i.e., informed consent). Reports absences or abnormalities to RN/physician. Explains procedures, gives instructions, and answers patients' questions. Participates in room turnover and transporting of patients.
• (5%) Assists Radiation Safety officer in QA of labs and radiation protective apparel on regular basis. Performs tasks using radiation safety principles; checks lead aprons for tears; reports findings and removes inadequate gear from service; maintains accurate records or work with Radiology department to maintain records.
