BYD Wexford are recruiting a Temporary Car Valetor / General Operative to join our busy dealership.

This is a temporary position; an enthusiastic individual will gain experience in the Motor Industry, with career paths from valeting to technician or sales roles discussed within the team.

Qualifications

• Full clean driver’s licence is essential.
• Be able to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing cars for handover to sales and aftersales customers.
• Washing and cleaning vehicles using specialised tools, cleaning agents and techniques.
• Polishing and waxing the exterior of vehicles to restore shine and protect the paint.
• Vacuuming and detailing the interior of vehicles, including upholstery, carpets and dashboard.
• Cleaning and shining wheels, tyres and rims.
• Inspecting vehicles with the Sales/Service person prior to customer handover.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
• Ensuring regular stock levels of cleaning materials are maintained.

This is a temporary position and would suit an enthusiastic individual looking to gain experience in the Motor Industry.

We have a significant number of employees who started in car valeting and progressed to become Master Technicians, Parts Advisors and Sales Executives.

Responsibilities
