Job summary

Hanley Calibration Ltd. is seeking a Commissioning Project Calibration Team Lead for pharma sites in County Tipperary. The role combines supervisory duties with hands-on field work, delivering the I&C handover package and overseeing hot loops, calibrations, and KPI reporting.

You will manage the Calibration Team, coordinate with the client, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with calibration standards and SOPs. A strong background in E&I and commissioning is essential.

Qualifications

• Time served electrical & instrumentation (E&I) or Instrumentation (I) qualified or B.Sc. Degree in instrument/electronic engineering or equivalent.
• +10 years' experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical device industry.
• Ability to demonstrate strong customer relationship skills.
• Clear experience in commissioning team management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site Calibration Team and any additional on-site resources.
• Coordinate with site PSCS/client to meet specific site requirements and targets.
• Attend project turnover, safety, quality and planning meetings.
• Oversee calibration activities, hot loops and troubleshooting across process control systems.

Hanley Calibration are looking for a commissioning project Calibration Team Lead on our client Pharma sites in County

The Role

Hanley Calibration are looking for a commissioning project Calibration Team Lead on our client Pharma sites in County Tipperary. While this role will primarily be a supervisory type position, there will be times when the Calibration Lead will be hands on in the field. The Calibration Lead will be responsible for the delivery of the overall I&C handover package including overseeing the hot loop & troubleshooting on all process control systems, manufacturing, black & clean utilities, warehouse and analytical labs throughout the Customer site. All candidates are required to have 10+ years experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Management of the site Calibration Team and any extra resources required on site including CMMS Engineer & Apprentices.
• Liaise with site PSCS/client to determine specific site requirements and targets.
• Attend project turnover, safety, quality and planning meetings.
• Contribute to system walkdowns as required
• Liaise with the relevant personnel to enable scheduling of downtime on equipment for hot loops & calibrations.
• Scheduling of scope as per turnover requirements
• Adhering to all current Calibration and Quality SOP's aligned to client.
• Develop and Implement a structure for reporting site KPI's, Continuous Improvements and Quality & Safety Observations.
• Responsible for all Calibration Standards on site.
• Responsible for scheduling and managing external 3rd party vendors.
• Responsible for the upkeep of Hanley Calibration Site Safe portal.
• The Calibration Lead will liaise with all parties associated with any site projects/upgrades including review of instrumentation and completion of Criticality Risk Assessments.
• Will review all current criticality risk assessments ensuring all instrumentation is fit for current processes.
• The Calibration Lead will have a complete overview of all activities on site and will advise on any non-conformance and Instrumentation issues.

• +10 years' experience in the Pharmaceutical and Medical device industry.
• Able to demonstrate strong customer relationship skills.
• Working knowledge of all Calibration methods.
• Clear experience in Commissioning Team Management
