Job summary

Independent Solutions is seeking a Calibration Planner & Scheduler to oversee site-wide calibration and gas detection programs in a regulated pharmaceutical setting. The role emphasizes end-to-end planning, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination to ensure regulatory compliance and efficient operations.

You will develop and manage calibration schedules, maintain documentation, and drive improvements in planning and work management processes, with a focus on GMP and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Degree or Level 7 in Engineering, Instrumentation, Maintenance Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, calibration or engineering support within GMP environment.
• Experience with SAP or equivalent CMMS/EAM system.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end planning and scheduling of calibration and gas detection activities.
• Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual calibration schedules.
• Coordinate calibration activities across manufacturing, laboratories, utilities, warehouse and support areas.
• Create, plan and manage calibration work orders using SAP/CMMS/EAM systems.
• Manage calibration backlog and ensure timely closure of work orders.
• Coordinate external calibration vendors and contractor activities.
• Lead calibration daily meetings and maintain KPI dashboards.
• Support audit readiness and maintain accurate calibration records.
• Identify and drive improvements in planning, scheduling and work management processes.

Calibration Planner & Scheduler | Specialist, Engineering | Contract Role

Location: Carlow | Ireland

Working Model: initially Onsite, with potential for 1 day hybrid thereafter

Overtime: 10%

We are looking for a Calibration Planner & Scheduler to support site-wide calibration and gas detection programmes within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end planning and scheduling of calibration and gas detection activities

Requirements

• Knowledge of calibration and instrumentation practices.
• Strong understanding of GMP, Data Integrity and ALCOA+
• Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience with ProCal or an equivalent calibration management system is an advantage.
