Qualifications

• Strong background in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Strong commercial programming experience with C++.
• Solid understanding of electronic systems and hardware/software interaction.
• Good programming experience with Python.
• Experience developing within Linux environments.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, OOP and software engineering principles.
• Experience working with embedded systems, edge computing or hardware-integrated software.
• Exposure to Machine Learning / Deep Learning would be beneficial.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow or similar frameworks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop production-quality software using C++ and Python.
• Develop software that interacts directly with electronic and hardware systems.
• Work across software, electronics and embedded engineering.
• Integrate software with embedded and edge-based hardware.
• Support the development of Machine Learning / Deep Learning solutions.
• Take technical solutions from R&D and prototyping through to production.
• Optimise software and algorithms for performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Work closely with Electronic Engineers, Software Engineers and Embedded Engineers.
• Test and evaluate solutions using real-world data and hardware.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical design and code reviews.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation.
