Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group in Cork seeks a part-time Business Development Manager to support day-to-day sales leadership with the DOSM, driving growth and maximizing the hotel’s marketing strategy. The role involves hosting sales calls, site inspections, and market analysis to expand corporate and event business across Dalata properties in Ireland.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, CRM experience, and a commercial mindset, with at least 3 years in a similar hospitality role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in hotels or customer service.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities to manage priorities.
• Excellent communication skills with a professional approach.
• Leadership capability with a commercial mindset and results orientation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sales calls and site inspections to win and develop new business.
• Support Sales & Marketing Manager in producing daily/weekly reports.
• Identify competitors and perform regular competitor analysis.
• Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales & marketing action plans with the Sales & Marketing Manager and marketing executive.
• Maintain up-to-date client databases and the CRM system.
• Participate in all sales activities including telesales, client entertaining, events, and FAMs.
• Maintain existing accounts and generate new business from them per targets.
• Source and win new corporate, function and special event business for the hotel.
• Assist with duties as directed by Management when business levels require.

The Bussines Development Manager - Part Time is a 20 hour per week role, will be responsible in conjunction with DOSM for the day-to-day management of the sales team and maximising the sales potential and marketing strategy of the hotel.

Your Job:

• Conduct an agreed amount of sales calls and site inspections to maintain and develop new business.
• Support Sales & marketing Manager in production of daily/ weekly reports
• Identify Key Competitors and carry out our regular competitor analysis.
• Prepare and execute specific annual and quarterly sales and marketing action plans in conjunction with the Sales & Marketing Manager and the marketing executive.
• Maintain up-to-date client databases and the CRM system.
• To participate fully in all sales activities, including sales researching, telesales, sales calls, corporate client entertaining, social events, promotions and FAM entertaining.
• Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis, monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity.
• Maintain existing accounts and generate new business from these accounts as per targets agreed upon.
• Source and win new corporate, function and special event business for the Hotel.
• Dependent on business levels within the hotel, you will be required to assist with duties as directed by Management. These duties may include assistance in duties/operations in all areas of the hotel and/or its operation.

What You Will Need:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar position
• Previous experience within hotels or a customer service environment
• Excellent organisation and planning skills
• Effective communicator
• Strong leadership skills
• Be commercially aware with strong analytical skills, be able to understand key business indicators and competitive trends.
• Sales focused and results driven
