Senior Business Analyst Job Specification

Company Overview:
Our client, a leading organisation in the Semiconductor/Engineering sector who are renowned for delivering cutting-edge solutions and services, are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join their dynamic team. This will be an initial 12 month daily rate contract with a high probability of multiple extensions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in client interactions, SQL, requirement gathering, and stakeholder management. They will be adept at using JIRA and have extensive experience managing projects from initiation to completion within the semiconductor/ electrical engineering/construction sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed requirement gathering sessions with clients and stakeholders – working across different locations and timezones.
• Document and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Ensure all requirements are aligned with business goals and project objectives.
• Serve as the primary liaison between clients, stakeholders, and the development team.
• Facilitate communication and manage expectations across all parties.
• Conduct regular updates and presentations to stakeholders on project progress.
• Perform data analysis to support business decisions and project requirements.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Interpret data trends and provide actionable insights.
• Use JIRA for tracking project tasks, issues, and progress.
• Create and manage JIRA dashboards, workflows, and reports.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMP, or Scrum Master are a plus.
