Job summary

Global Professional Consultants are seeking an experienced Building Inspector to support BCAR compliance across a range of construction projects in Ireland. You will help ensure projects meet Building Control Regulations, BCAR and related standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Working closely with project teams, contractors and consultants, you will conduct site inspections, prepare inspection reports and support the Assigned Certifier on complex projects, with hybrid working in the Dublin

Qualifications

• Ideally 5 years’ site-based construction experience.
• Qualification inArchitecture, Building, or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and BCAR.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and prepare inspection reports.
• Assist with BCAR documentation and notices.
• Develop and monitor inspection plans.
• Coordinate completion certificates and ancillary certification.
• Track and close compliance issues throughout project delivery.
• Gather and manage contractor product certification.
• Attend client, design, and site meetings.
• Liaise with Building Control authorities and stakeholders.
• Maintain records using BCMS and company systems.
• Support and report to the Assigned Certifier.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organisational and time-management abilities.
• Maintain high attention to detail.

New opportunity for an experienced Building Inspector to support BCAR compliance across a range of construction projects.

The successful Building Inspector will assist in ensuring projects meet Building Control Regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Working closely with project teams, contractors, and consultants, you will carry out inspections, prepare certification documentation, and support the Assigned Certifier function on complex projects.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Ideally 5 years’ site-based construction experience
• Qualification in a construction-related discipline – Architecture, Building, or engineering
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, Building Control Legislation, and BCAR
• Experience on complex construction projects
