About the Role

We’re expanding fast and are looking for a skilled and reliable Installation Technician to join our growing team. You'll be working on-site at customer locations installing internet systems, pulling network cables, mounting dishes/antennas, and configuring broadband equipment (wireless and Fibre).

This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, with great attention to detail, and a knack for troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain internet equipment (wireless routers, Fibre boxes, antennas, and dishes)
  • Pull and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 and Fibre optic cabling
  • Mount and align external antennas/dishes on rooftops, poles, and walls
  • Test internet speeds and signal strength
  • Configure routers, access points, and VOIP devices
  • Troubleshoot installation and connectivity issues on-site
  • Record installation data and complete reports digitally
  • Always maintain professional and customer-focused behavior

Requirements

  • Proven experience in internet installation or similar technical role
  • Confident working at heights (roof access, ladders, safety gear required)
  • Solid understanding of networking basics (IP, routers, access points)
  • Ability to work independently and follow a job sheet or install plan
  • Full clean driver’s license (company van may be provided)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and can-do attitude
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Teamwork is essential

Nice to Have (Optional but Advantageous)

  • Previous experience with MikroTik, Ubiquitiequipment
  • Fibre splicing or OTDR testing experience
  • Trade background in electrical or telecoms
  • Familiarity with apps or CRM systems for job tracking
  • Basic power tool skills
