It’s fast‑paced and hands‑on, with teams working together to ensure quality, efficiency and sustainability at every stage. From sourcing ingredients to getting products into customers’ hands, you’ll play a role in delivering the brands people know and love.

A forward‑thinking €200 million investment has brought an innovative, carbon‑neutral brewery to life in Newbridge, Co. Kildare, set to open in 2026. This best‑in‑class facility will be Ireland’s second‑largest brewing operation and a powerhouse of sustainability, running entirely on renewable energy. It’s where iconic beers like Rockshore, Harp, Smithwick’s, and Kilkenny will be crafted for a new generation.

About The Role

As a Brewing Technician you will safely operate, monitor and maintain end-to-end brewing operations from raw material intake through brewing, fermentation, filtration and tanker dispatch, delivering beer safely, to specification and to production plan.

The role owns process execution, product quality, equipment basic condition and accurate operational data, using Zaptic for digital work management and ManEx for performance management and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate brewing processes and equipment in accordance with SOPs, recipes, production plans and site Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Environmental standards.
  • Operate across raw material handling, brewhouse, fermentation/maturation, filtration, bright beer and tanker filling within demonstrated competence.
  • Monitor process and quality parameters, respond to deviations and upscale abnormalities appropriately.
  • Execute CIP, sanitation, Autonomous Maintenance and 5S, taking ownership of equipment condition and performance.
  • Maintain accurate process, quality and traceability records using Brewmaxx, Orbis, Harford, Zaptic and other site systems.
  • Coordinate operational activities, including product transfers and tanker loading/dispatch, to maintain safe and efficient product flow.
  • Participate in shift handovers, daily performance reviews and ManEx routines, ensuring clear communication and effective follow-up.
  • Identify and eliminate losses through structured problem‑solving and continuous improvement activities covering yield, quality, time, energy, materials and equipment performance.
  • Support trials, process changes, new product introductions and improvement projects.
  • Develop cross-functional capability, share knowledge and work collaboratively with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Utilities and Logistics.
About You

We're looking for a motivated and proactive individual with experience in brewing, food & beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, chemical, utilities, or other automated process manufacturing environments. You'll be passionate about operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement, with the drive to take ownership, solve problems, and contribute to a high‑performing team. While experience is valuable, your ability to learn, adapt, and make a positive impact is what will set you apart.

What You’ll Bring
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or process environment, ideally in brewing, food & beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, chemical, utilities, or other highly automated industries.
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • A good understanding of process operations, equipment performance, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across production, engineering, and support functions.
  • A proactive approach to safety, quality, environmental compliance and operational excellence.
  • Confidence using digital manufacturing and maintenance systems, with the ability to interpret data and use insights to improve performance.
  • A growth mindset with a passion for learning, developing new skills and supporting the development of others.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment while delivering agreed objectives and driving sustainable results.
