Job summary

Tirlán is recruiting a Branch Assistant (Yard Operations) for the Goresbridge Branch, Co. Kilkenny. The role mainly covers yard and warehouse duties, stock handling, customer assistance and ensuring safe, efficient yard operations. Some retail support may be required during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to carry out manual handling activities safely.
• Friendly outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork and the ability to work independently.
• Able to multitask and maintain high-quality work in a busy environment.
• Strong awareness of health and safety.
• IT skills are required.
• Agricultural or farming background is desirable.
• Forklift/loader licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and store incoming stock, load and unload products safely and efficiently, and prepare customer collections and deliveries.
• Maintain stock accuracy and ensure a clean, organised yard environment.
• Ensure fertiliser, feed, fuel and hardware stock is stored correctly.
• Assist customers collecting products from the yard and retail area.
• Build strong relationships with customers through excellent service and advice.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment in line with training.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
