Servisource Recruitment are currently working with the Rape Crisis Centre North East (RCCNE) to recruit voluntary board members.

About the Organisation

The Rape Crisis Centre North East (RCCNE) provides essential and life-changing support services to survivors of sexual violence across the North East region. As part of its strategic development, RCCNE is seeking to strengthen its Board of Directors by inviting expressions of interest from committed professionals who share our values and vision for a safer and more supportive community.

The Opportunity

This is avoluntarybut highlyrewardingopportunity to contribute to an organisation delivering vital services to vulnerable individuals. As a Board Member, you will play a key role in guiding the strategic direction, governance, and oversight of RCCNE’s operations and development.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide strategic leadership and oversight in line with the organisation’s mission and objectives

· Attend and actively participate in quarterly board meetings (in person or virtually)

· Contribute to subcommittees or working groups as required

· Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations

· Support the CEO and management team by offering expertise and guidance

· Act as an ambassador for RCCNE within your professional networks and community

Desired Background & Expertise

We are particularly seeking individuals with professional experience in the following areas:

· Legal

· Finance & Audit

· Human Resources / Governance

· Counselling / Mental Health Services
