Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a BMS Engineering Lead to own the engineering, design, commissioning, and delivery of BMS packages on large-scale, mission-critical projects in Ireland.

You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, coordinate with clients, subcontractors and project management to ensure systems perform as intended, delivered safely, on time and to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering BMS projects in a senior engineering or technical leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of BMS design, controls, commissioning, and system integration.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing technical project delivery.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while maintaining project momentum.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production and coordination of BMS engineering and design deliverables, including Tier 2 submittals, I/O point lists, equipment schedules and schematics, panel layouts, and functional specifications.
• Drive the development of functional specifications into fully operational BMS solutions.
• Oversee factory acceptance testing, commissioning, and system validation activities.
• Manage technical change control and maintain accurate engineering documentation.
• Lead and mentor project engineers and site-based BMS teams.
• Coordinate subcontractors and specialist vendors throughout project delivery.
• Ensure programme, quality, safety, and engineering objectives are achieved.
• Participate in project reviews, client meetings, and system walkdowns.
• Support project close-out activities, handover documentation, and client demonstrations.

BMS Engineering Lead

Lead the Delivery of Critical Building Management Systems

We're looking for an experienced BMS Engineering Lead to take ownership of the engineering, design, commissioning, and technical delivery of BMS packages on large-scale, mission-critical projects.

This is a leadership role for someone who can drive technical excellence, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure BMS systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards from design through to handover.

The Role

As the BMS Engineering Lead, you will act as the technical authority for BMS delivery, overseeing engineering activities, managing stakeholders, and ensuring successful project execution across all phases.

You will lead engineering teams, support project delivery, and work closely with clients, subcontractors, and project management teams to ensure systems perform as intended.

What You'll Be Doing
