Job summary

West Cork Distillers Limited in Skibbereen, Co. Cork, Ireland, is seeking a Blending Operative for our on-site production team.

You will blend whiskeys and other spirits to recipe requirements, prepare base blends, and ensure product quality and traceability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires at least two years’ experience in manufacturing and proven forklift operation with a valid licence.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Evidence of a forklift licence or certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Blend whiskeys, gins and other spirits to recipe requirements.
• Prepare base blends to recipe requirements.
• Filtration of liquids.
• Prepare bulk products by adding flavourings to base alcohol.
• Ensure procedures follow traceability guidelines.
• Follow forklift and pallet truck procedures; forklift training provided.
• Collaborate with lab team to bring samples for testing.
• Maintain blending area in audit-ready state.
• Flexibility to undertake additional duties as needed.

We Are Looking For.

We are currently looking for a Blending Operative to join our team in West Cork Distillers.

Our Blending team members play a key role in ensuring West Cork Distillers products, which are exported to over 70 countries across the globe, are prepared to the highest standards with the unmistakable West Cork taste.

What You’ll Do.

• Blend Whiskeys, gins and other spirit based beverages to recipe requirements combining different spirits and flavourings
• Preparing base blends to recipe requirements
• Filtration of liquids
• Preparation of bulk products such as the addition of flavourings to base alcohol
• Ensuring allprocedures followed to guarantee traceability guidelines are maintained
• Ensuring Forklift and pallet truck procedures are adhered to at all times (forklift training will be provided)
• Working with the team in the laboratory bringing samples for testing as required
• Ensuring the blending area is maintained in an audit ready state at all times
• Flexibility may be required to undertake additional/other duties on occasion, based on business needs and requirements.

You'll have.

• At least two years’ experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proven proficiency in forklift operation will be essential for this position. Candidates must provide evidence of having previously held a forklift lisence. If the lisence has expired, renewal will be arranged.
