Job summary

West Cork Distillers is seeking a Blending Operative to join our team in Skibbereen, Co. Cork. You will blend whiskeys, gins and other spirit-based beverages to recipe requirements, supporting our export operations to over 70 countries.

The role includes preparing base blends, filtration, and collaborating with the lab to test samples while maintaining an audit-ready blending area. The position is on-site with benefits and on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in food or beverage manufacturing is desirable.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain accuracy.
• Strong teamwork and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Blend whiskeys, gins and other spirit-based beverages to recipe requirements.
• Prepare base blends to recipe requirements.
• Filtration of liquids.
• Preparation of bulk products such as the addition of flavourings to base alcohol.
• Ensuring all procedures followed to guarantee traceability guidelines are maintained.
• Ensuring forklift and pallet truck procedures are adhered to at all times (training provided).
• Work with the laboratory to bring samples for testing as required.
• Maintain the blending area in an audit-ready state at all times.
• Flexibility to undertake additional duties based on business needs.

We Are Looking For.

We are currently looking for a Blending Operative to join our team in West Cork Distillers.

Our Blending team members play a key role in ensuring West Cork Distillers products, which are exported to over 70 countries across the globe, are prepared to the highest standards with the unmistakable West Cork taste.

What You’ll Do.

• Blend Whiskeys, gins and other spirit based beverages to recipe requirements combining different spirits and flavourings
• Preparing base blends to recipe requirements
• Filtration of liquids
• Preparation of bulk products such as the addition of flavourings to base alcohol
• Ensuring allprocedures followed to guarantee traceability guidelines are maintained
• Ensuring Forklift and pallet truck procedures are adhered to at all times (forklift training will be provided)
• Working with the team in the laboratory bringing samples for testing as required
• Ensuring the blending area is maintained in an audit ready state at all times
• Flexibility may be required to undertake additional/other duties on occasion, based on business needs and requirements.
