AstraZeneca is hiring a Bio-Process Technician for Athlone, Ireland. You will join a high-performing shift team to execute production on a state-of-the-art bio-manufacturing line, featuring MCS automation, batch records, and SAP materials usage.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement and strict documentation in a cGMP environment. Responsibilities include mastering cell culture, media prep, purification, and equipment prep, while driving CI and Lean practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level science/engineering degree or equivalent.
• Hands-on cGMP biotech experience and batch records knowledge.
• Strong verbal/written communication and SOP adherence.

Responsibilities

• Perform core production tasks: cell culture, media prep, purification, buffers, and equipment prep.
• Develop subject-matter expertise and lead improvements within the shift.
• Execute tasks per SOPs/batch records with precise documentation.
• Troubleshoot issues and assist deviations using QTS system.
• Train colleagues on SOPs, process steps, and equipment operation.
• Contribute to area SOPs and batch-record creation/maintenance.
• Identify CI opportunities; apply lean tools (Standard Work, 6S).
• Assist with start-up/validation activities and equipment input.
