Job summary

Sanofi Waterford is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Team Leader to manage production activities, drive batch release performance, and coordinate cross-functional teams in Rare Disease and General Medicines.

In this role you will ensure cGMP compliance, training, document control, and continuous improvement, leading a production team on site in Waterford, Ireland, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Pharmacy, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in biopharma/pharma manufacturing with batch release exposure.
• 3–5 years in a team leader or supervisory role.
• 1–2 years' experience of sterile manufacturing/aseptic processing.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing areas to meet production objectives.
• Ensure production complies with cGMP and safety standards through reviews.
• Train staff against SOPs and GMP requirements relevant to their roles.
• Define procedures and ensure adherence.
• Monitor ongoing GMP compliance in their area.
• Assess training effectiveness at regular intervals.
• Promote good housekeeping and hygiene practices.
• Resolve problem-solving reports promptly.
• Maintain current quality documentation and records.
• Train/assess team member competence as required.
• Manage performance of team and ongoing performance.
• Coordinate manufacturing activities in compliance with cGMP documentation.
• Contribute to manufacturing documentation reviews and approvals.
• Assist in changes, validation/revalidation programmes.
• Provide support and backup to team members.
• Set team targets and support safety, productivity, and quality goals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
