Job summary

Morgan McKinley seeks an experienced External Contract Testing Laboratory Project Manager to oversee a portfolio spanning drug substance, product, and analytical sciences. You will manage external laboratory partnerships, coordinate analytical work, and ensure timely, compliant delivery across programmes.

The role requires strong relationship management with CROs/CTLs, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive approach to continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree + 3+ years of scientific experience OR Bachelor's degree + 5+ years of scientific experience.
• Experience working with external CROs/CTLs and external labs.
• Strong understanding of cGMP, regulatory/CMC, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage external supplier relationships and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Coordinate portfolios of projects across drug substance, drug product, and analytical sciences.
• Oversee external analytical work packages, method transfer, validation and release testing.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on programme milestones.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory expectations (cGMP).
• Identify and escalate analytical testing issues and manage resolution.
