Job summary

MSD Ireland in Dunboyne is seeking a Downstream Technical Operations Lead to own the biologics program end-to-end. You will supervise a team of scientists and engineers delivering daily manufacturing support across chromatography, filtration, and formulation.

The role reports to the Downstream Technical Operations Director and requires deep GMP experience, strong cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree: B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in a relevant Engineering or Scientific discipline.
• 8–10 years of biopharmaceutical manufacturing and/or development experience.
• Experience leading technical teams and driving strategy.
• Strong GMP and regulatory experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical ownership of the biologics program.
• Lead Downstream team delivering manufacturing support across chromatography, filtration, and formulation.
• Shape site technical strategy and execution standards.
• Ensure rapid deviation investigations and CAPA.
• Collaborate with global partners to accelerate delivery.
