Job summary

Lex Consultancy Recruitment is seeking a Billing Specialist for a professional services firm in Dublin 2. The role targets someone with 2+ years in a similar billing position and a keen eye for detail.

You will manage client setup, document billing requirements, liaise with partners and assistants, and coordinate billing timelines. Strong organizational skills, initiative, and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a similar billing role.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize amid competing deadlines.
• Strong initiative and organizational skills with responsibility for delivery.
• Team player with time management and a professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Managing initial client set up and documenting billing requirements for the client billing team.
• Agreeing the billing timetable with the matter partner.
• Setting up new payers and liaising with Legal Personal Assistants to coordinate this.
• Working with lawyers to review WIP and confirm what is to be billed based on the timetable.
• Resolving WIP write-downs & time transfers.
• Preparing draft bills for review.
• Confirming VAT checks and checking bill details with reference to VAT and Payer.
• Issuing final bills (including e-bills) and tracking dispatch dates.
• Working with Credit Control on bill re-issues, credit notes and debtor follow-up.
