Job summary

Greenvolt Next in Ireland seeks an experienced Business Development and Sales professional to lead bid proposals, pricing, and customer engagement across renewable energy markets. You will develop costed proposals, support strategic plans, and drive sales growth while maintaining strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates will have a mechanical or electrical engineering background, 5+ years of relevant experience, and demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end bids and pricing across multiple

Qualifications

  • Requires degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in engineering, sales, or BD roles.
  • Strong data analytics and Power BI modelling knowledge.
  • Proven track record with bid preparation, pricing, and bespoke quotations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop bid proposals including costings and documentation.
  • Prepare pricing quotations for new and existing customers.
  • Engage in business plans development and cross-market sales growth.
  • Provide technical sales support and maintain client relationships.
  • Generate monthly sales reports and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development and Sales Growth
  • Develop bid proposals including costings and proposal documentation

  • Participate in business plans development

  • Working across all market sectors to grow sales and develop new business

  • Promotion of the company and services offered

  • Work proactively to ensure performance targets are met

  • Technical Sales and Customer Support

  • Providing Technical Sales Support to new and current customers

  • Dealing with technical sales enquiries

  • Preparing pricing quotations to new and existing customers

  • Have excellent customer service skills and telephone manner

Reporting, Documentation & Administration
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Generate sales reports monthly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages, including advanced Word, Excel and Outlook
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
  • Managing a positive working relationship will all management and staff
  • Shre knowledge and impart skills to other team members
  • liaise with senior management on these developments.
Professional Development and Industry Awareness
  • Keep up to date with developments in the industry
  • Apply industry insights to support business strategy
General Responsibilities
  • Work effectively on own initiative
  • Contribute positively as part of a collaborative steam
  • Assist with other duties as required to support the role.
Qualifications
  • A degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related discipline
  • minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • Strong data analytics and Power BI modelling knowledge.
  • Strong track record in handling technical sales enquiries, developing pricing strategies, and preparing bespoke quotations across multiple market sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end bid preparation, including cost estimation, proposal development, and timely submission in line with client specifications
  • In-depth understanding of the engineering, construction, and renewable energy industries, including emerging trends and market positioning
  • Proven experience with AutoCAD and PVSyst software
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), including the ability to produce professional proposal documents and manage pricing spreadsheets
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills, including maintaining accurate records and generating monthly sales reports
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong commitment to client service and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Highly organised, meticulous, and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines independently or as part of a team
