Job summary

Fluence seeks a Commissioning Engineer (Polish Speaker) to lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects. You will coordinate testing, manage schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with customers and contractors across Europe.

The role demands hands-on field work, independence, and strong stakeholder communication with frequent travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in electrical engineering or equivalent training.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of battery storage systems, PV, inverter, switchgear for low/medium voltage.
• Familiarity with VDE, IEC, IEEE standards in battery energy storage.
• Willingness to continuously improve and develop skills.
• Strong initiative, judgment, communication, and quality orientation.
• Fluency in English and Polish.

Responsibilities

• Commission Fluence projects in collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Lead commissioning to achieve commercial operations and handover to O&M.
• Oversee complete commissioning and acceptance testing of plant systems (networks, control, HVAC, electrical, battery and inverter subsystems).
• Perform electricity market and/or off-taker qualification testing as required.
• Travel extensively across Europe (60%+) to lead on-site commissioning activities.
