Job summary

Mount Juliet Estate, a 5★ luxury resort, seeks a Full-Time Bartender to join The Manor team on Mt Juliet Estate in Thomastown, Kilkenny. You will mix cocktails, upsell beverages and deliver exceptional guest service in a recently renovated setting.

You’ll work with a professional team, ensuring accurate cash handling, knowledge of the menu, and adherence to health and safety standards in a fast-paced luxury environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as bartender in luxury hospitality is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of spirits, wine and beer.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Must be available to work Full-Time, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, wine, beer and other beverages.
• Take orders, operate POS, and handle cash payments accurately.
• Recommend and upsell beverages according to guests’ preferences.
• Develop a strong knowledge of the food and beverage menu to answer guest questions.
• Work closely with colleagues across the restaurant, bar and kitchen to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with table service, functions, events and other operational duties when required.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene procedures at all times.

Mount Juliet Estate, a 5★ luxury resort set across 500 acres of beautiful Irish countryside, is looking for a Full-Time Bartender to join the team in the newly renovated The Manor.This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an award-winning hospitality team and work within one of Ireland’s most iconic luxury resorts.Key ResponsibilitiesWelcome and greet guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner.Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, wine, beer and other beverages efficiently.Provide excellent customer service and ensure guests have an exceptional experience.Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented bar and front-of-house areas.Take orders, operate POS systems and handle cash and card payments accurately.Recommend and upsell beverages according to guests’ preferences.Develop a strong knowledge of the food and beverage menu to confidently answer guest questions.Ensure all drinks are served at the correct temperature and in the appropriate glassware.Work closely with colleagues across the restaurant, bar and kitchen to ensure smooth service.Assist with table service, functions, events and other operational duties when required.Deal with guest requests and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.Follow all health, safety and hygiene procedures at all times.

RequirementsPrevious experience as a bartender or in a similar hospitality environment.Experience within a luxury hotel, restaurant or leisure environment is an advantage.Excellent knowledge of spirits, wine and beer.Strong communication and customer service skills.Accurate and responsible cash-handling skills.Familiarity with POS systems.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.Must be available to work Full-Time.
