The Talbot Hotel Carlow, part of Talbot Collection, is seeking a part-time Food and Beverage Assistant with Bar experience to join our team. You will provide friendly, efficient service in the bar, taking orders and serving drinks, while upholding the high standards of the Talbot Collection.

We offer full training, a welcoming team culture, and results-driven customer service. This role involves weekend work and requires a flexible approach to shifts.

Qualifications

• Friendly and professional work attitude.
• Fluent English essential - written and spoken.
• Must be available to work variable shifts.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Previous experience not required as full training is provided.
• The role involves weekend work, so flexibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time in proper uniform and maintain personal hygiene.
• Keep bar area clean at all times and ensure accurate floats by checking them.
• Efficiently dispense and serve drinks and food when required.
• Be aware of menu items and drinks services of the day.
• Serve alcohol responsibly and maintain a welcoming bar atmosphere.
• Deliver exceptional friendly service in line with Talbot Collection standards.
• Safeguard company money, goods and assets; know licensing laws and excise requirements.
• Issue drinks using correct measures and glassware; stock shelves and glassware.
• Assist in clearing bottles, glasses, tables and washing.
