Clancy Construction is currently seeking an experienced Banksman to join our site team in Cork.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work on a live construction site, supporting day-to-day operations and contributing to the successful delivery of projects in line with Clancy's high standards of quality, safety and professionalism.

Location

This is a Site based role in the Cork area.

Reporting to

The Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Guide crane and plant operations using walkie talkies with the ability to use standard hand signals to communicate effectively
• Tying off loads securely and diligently
• Good eye sight, spatial awareness and attention to detail
• Ensure pedestrian and Colleague safety at all times
• Maintain clear communication with drivers, machine operators and site management and project workers
• Monitor site access/egress points and control traffic flow
• Assist with general site safety duties as required

Qualifications/Experience:

• Previous Banksman experience is essential.
• Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
