Job summary

Clancy Construction in Cork is seeking an experienced Banksman to join our site team. This hands-on role supports crane and plant operations on a live construction site in Cork, helping to ensure safe movement of equipment and personnel.

You will tie off loads, communicate with drivers and operators, and uphold our high safety standards across projects in residential, commercial or healthcare segments.

Qualifications

• Previous Banksman experience is essential.
• Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Guide crane and plant operations using walkie talkies with standard hand signals to communicate effectively
• Tying off loads securely and diligently
• Good eye sight, spatial awareness and attention to detail
• Ensure pedestrian and Colleague safety at all times
• Maintain clear communication with drivers, machine operators and site management and project workers
• Monitor site access/egress points and control traffic flow
• Assist with general site safety duties as required

Location

Site based role in the Cork area. Reporting to The Site Manager.
