Job summary

daa is recruiting for an Asset Management - Baggage Operative in Dublin. The role focuses on operation, cleanliness, availability, and efficiency of the Dublin Airport Baggage Handling System, with potential cross-support to technicians in Asset Management.

This is a full-time on-site position within the Asset Management Function at Dublin Airport. The job entails operating and maintaining baggage handling equipment, monitoring systems, and contributing to safety, through adherence to H&S

Qualifications

Understanding of the baggage hall and associated systems.
Strong communication skills, fluent English essential for radio comms.
Computer literate, especially Microsoft Office.
Proven track record of teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Hold and maintain a full clean driving licence.
Willingness to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

Responsibilities

Clear bag jams and reset systems in coordination with MIS control.
Ensure timely delivery by removing unsuitable items to the correct location.
Support efficient operation and throughput of bags within the system.
Monitor the Baggage System via SCADA and related control software from the Control Room.
Investigate root causes of jams and monitor inbound/outbound baggage operations.
Patrol baggage halls to recover items and return to the correct handler point.
Assist with equipment care, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks as directed.
