Job summary

Amach, based in Dublin, is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own key Azure and hybrid infrastructure initiatives. You will shape reliability, security and scalability across cloud and on-premises environments, collaborating with IT, Security, Development and Engineering teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership in design, implementation and automation, with a focus on Infrastructure-as-Code, monitoring, and robust incident response.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Infrastructure, Cloud or Platform Engineering.
• Good understanding of networking, identity, security and cloud technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation.
• Strong PowerShell and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects in a structured environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Azure and hybrid infrastructure.
• Lead infrastructure projects from design through to implementation.
• Improve automation, standardisation and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Support Microsoft workplace technologies and virtual desktop environments.
• Strengthen infrastructure security, monitoring and vulnerability management.
• Support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and act as a senior technical escalation point.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards and processes.
• Work with wider technology teams to deliver infrastructure improvements and new platforms.
