Job summary

Berkley Group in Dublin is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to support the development, automation and security of complex cloud environments. You will work with Azure, Terraform, and DevSecOps to create reusable patterns and improve deployment processes while ensuring security standards are met.

The role focuses on building IaC, automating CI/CD pipelines, and applying Policy-as-Code across Azure environments, with hybrid work and one day onsite per week.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Proven automation of cloud networking environments.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC.
• Experience with Azure networking technologies (VNet, WAN, BGP, firewalls).
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD automation.
• Experience delivering end-to-end IaC deployments.
• Scripting skills: Python, PowerShell, YAML, and others.

Responsibilities

• Develop IaC automation using Terraform with reusable patterns.
• Use CI/CD tools to provision infrastructure and prevent drift.
• Investigate and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
• Improve performance, reliability, and security of cloud infra.
• Document automation processes and infrastructure changes.
• Manage firewall technologies and integrate network security into cloud strategy.
• Apply Policy-as-Code and security standards across Azure environments.
• Contribute to standardised CI/CD pipelines and automation quality gates.
• Support DevSecOps practices across product teams.
